Ce n'est qu'en 1622 que les choses avancent sous l'\u00E9gide de l'\u00E9v\u00EAque Anthony Triest qui confie \u00E0 l'architecte Pieter Huyssens la t\u00E2che de construire un s\u00E9minaire dans la Biezekapelstraat. Le lieu ouvre ses portes pour la premi\u00E8re fois en 1625. Au fil des si\u00E8cles, l'\u00E9difice s'agrandit et change de fonction. Une impressionnante biblioth\u00E8que de s\u00E9minaire vient s'y ajouter, puis des r\u00E9novations profondes sont men\u00E9es au XIXe si\u00E8cle. Mais le b\u00E2timent s'av\u00E8re finalement trop petit pour les nombreux \u00E9tudiants qui y s\u00E9journent. Er beauftragte den Architekten Pieter Huyssens mit dem Bau eines Priesterseminars an der Biezekapelstraat. Dessen T\u00FCren \u00F6ffneten erstmals im Jahr 1625. Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte wurde das Geb\u00E4ude erweitert und ver\u00E4nderte sich je nach Funktion. Eine beeindruckende Seminarbibliothek wurde hinzugef\u00FCgt, und im 19. Jahrhundert folgte eine umfassende Renovierung. Aber schlie\u00DFlich wurde das Geb\u00E4ude f\u00FCr die vielen Sch\u00FCler zu klein. Deshalb wurde die Ausbildungsst\u00E4tte in einen neuen Komplex an der Reep verlagert, der Platz f\u00FCr 200 Priesteramtskandidaten, Professoren, H\u00F6rs\u00E4le und eine eigene Bibliothek bot.</span><span lang=\"DE\"></span></p><p><span lang=\"DE\">Was wurde aus dem alten Priesterseminar? Neben seiner religi\u00F6sen Funktion ist das St.-Bavo-Haus heute auch ein stilvoller Veranstaltungsort f\u00FCr Seminare, Tagungen, Schulungen oder Events. In 2001 verhuisde het seminarie om de site vrij te maken voor de Vlerick Business School.
