Permit categories
If you want to access a restricted traffic area, you need to have a permit 24h/24h.
Permit categories
You can request a permit for the following categories (Dutch translation in parentheses):
- Resident (Bewoner);
- Resident visitor (Bezoeker van bewoner);
- Company with a garage or parking space in the restricted traffic area (Bedrijf met garage of standplaats in autovrij gebied);
- Hotel situated in the restricted traffic area (Hotel gevestigd in autovrij gebied);
- Garage or parking space in the restricted traffic area (Garage of standplaats in het autovrij gebied);
- Organised transport of people with reduced mobility (Georganiseerd vervoer van minder mobiele personen);
- Private transport of people with reduced mobility (Privévervoer van minder mobiele personen);
- Health care provider (Zorgverstrekker);
- Supplier of medical services (Levering van medische aard);
- Supplier located in the restricted traffic area (Leverancier gevestigd in een autovrij gebied);
- Recurring markets or events (terugkerende markten of evenementen);
- Execution of works (Uitvoeren van werken);
- Utility providers (Nutsdiensten);
- Loading and unloading (Laden en lossen).

With these permits, you can enter the restricted traffic area during the whole day (24h/24h), except when you have a permit 'loading and unloading' (e.g.: suppliers).
Loading and unloading is only possible between specific hours:
- From 6pm until 11am in the restricted traffic areas 1, 2, 3 or 4 (more info, see restricted traffic area)
- From 5am until 7pm in restricted traffic area 5 - Overpoortstraat (more info, see restricted traffic area)
