How to request a permit?

You can request a permit at the online service desk at https://stad.gent/autovrijgebied/vergunningen (in Dutch).

If you do not have internet access, you can visit the reception desk of Mobiliteitsbedrijf. You need to request your permit at least five workdays before the start of the permit. In urgent cases, you can request your permit on a shorter term.

You need to clarify your motivation (why you want to enter a certain restricted traffic area with your vehicle during a certain time) during your request. It could be that you have to add evidence documents to support your motivation.

If you enter the restricted traffic area without having a permit, you will receive an administrative fine of 58 euros.
